Talmani!
An endangered species of fae raccoon foxes, but together we may just bring them back!
One of their most striking features is their ringed, psychedelic tails!
They never stop growing, and they do so fast. Every season they grow so fluffy and so long they fall right off!
It’s the highest honor to be gifted a Talmani’s tail, and consuming one brings great fortune too~
Each Talmani has their own, candy-like flavor! (Just don’t consume their tail before bed, they’re extremely caffeinated!)
Talmani are easy to identify by the curved bumps on their ears…

Rarely, Talmani can be born with more than one pair of wings and ears!
(Their wings can be drawn attached or free floating)
Feathers, berries, bugs, paints, and/or shiny stones, whatever brings that special spark to a Talmani litter their nest. But a fae-fox in love? They hide away their dens and make a game of hunting down their chosen partner’s nest! Replacing the items they loved with that of their intended mates!
As if to announce, ‘this will soon be mine!’ Talmani will adorn their beloved’s bedding with their favorite sparks! And in return, they squirrel away pieces of their intended mate to decorate their hidden nest instead. Feathers and fluff fly in happy trills and a merrily territorial tussle ensue should either partner be caught stealing from their loved one’s nest~
When every last spark has been safely tucked away into just one Talmani’s nest, finally, their courtship is complete. (And if one cheated a little on the way and carried their own sparks on into their partner’s den, who’s to say?) It’s only a matter of waiting and luck to see if a new pairing find themselves with fresh Talmani eggs!
While their numbers may have been rumored to be nearly extinct, Talmani egg clutches have been seen on the rise recently!
It certainly doesn’t help they’re most often seen performing their courting dances, nest building and tail gifting towards other non-compatible species.
Each courting dance is unique to each Talmani and their intended partner, accomplished fliers might swoop and twist in the air to impress a mate, while those with smaller or clumsier wings, might be more creative in their approach.
